The internal medicine department offers many specialized services performed by highly qualified physicians and supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities available in our hospital. Internal medicine services are offered through many specialized units, including general internal medicine, hepatology and gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, dermatology and cosmetology.

Services

  • General Internal Medicine Unit─ It is concerned with nonsurgical treatment of diseases of the internal organs including a huge range of disorders, such as abdominal pain, digestive disorders, peptic ulcers, constipation, diarrhea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, diabetes, thyroid disease, infectious diseases, vitamin and mineral deficiency, as well as periodic health assessment.

 

  • Hepatology and Gastroenterology Unit─ It is concerned with

 

  • Pulmonology unit─ It is concerned with diagnosing and medical management of diseases of the lungs and airways. The pulmonologist diagnoses and treats bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy, asthma, occupational and environmental diseases, emphysema and other complex disorders of the lungs.

 

  • Cardiology unit─ It is concerned with diagnosing and medical management of diseases of the heart and blood vessels including complex cardiac conditions, such as heart attacks, heart failure, and life-threatening abnormal heartbeat rhythms.

 

  • Dermatology and cosmetology Unit─ It is concerned with diagnosing and medical management of diseases of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. This includes infectious, immunologic, and degenerative diseases. Management may need examination and interpretation of specially prepared tissue sections, cellular scrapings, and smears of skin lesions by means of light microscopy, electron microscopy, and fluorescence microscopy.
